Chainalysis accidentally leaked a video about its Monero (XMR) token tracking method, which was subsequently deleted, Cointelegraph reported. Chainalysis’s ability to track Monero transactions has raised concerns, as Monero bills itself as a “secure, private, and untraceable cryptocurrency.”

When Cointelegraph asked Chainalysis about this, a spokesperson said "no comment at this time." An anonymous source shared a copy of the leaked video with Cointelegraph. The video shows Chainalysis tracking transactions through "malicious" Monero nodes since 2021. Reddit user _It_ claimed that Chainalysis reduced the anonymity of Monero transactions by running a large number of XMR nodes to capture transaction IP addresses and timestamps, combined with false "bait" inputs.
