According to Foresight News, Ethereum Layer 2 network Starknet said that STRK holders will vote for the first time on the mainnet to introduce the STRK staking function into the Starknet ecosystem. STRK holders will have the opportunity to express their opinions on the proposed minting mechanism and its parameter modification conditions.
While the exact deployment timeline for this feature has not yet been determined, the staking feature is expected to launch in October. The proposed voting schedule is a test voting period from September 2 to September 4, 2024, and a voting period from September 9 to September 13, 2024.
