đ MetaMask's new feature was developed to enhance transaction safety and security, protecting users from fraud and hacking attacks.
Web3 wallet MetaMask has partnered with security company Blockaid to introduce a pre-trade risk warning feature in a desktop browser extension.
đ Starting from early November 2023, MetaMask users on PC/laptop will be able to test the new feature before it is deployed to 100% of users in the first quarter of 2024.
In Decrypt's exclusive interview, MetaMask Product Manager - Ms. BĂĄrbara Schorchit - said: "The new feature will simulate transaction authentication operations and check whether they are malicious or not, before the user confirm the actual transaction."
đĄïž Blockaid's solution is capable of scanning every transaction with dApps and smart contracts to simulate all possible user interactions, authenticate whether they are malicious or not, to evaluate safety of dApps.
đ± By the end of November 2023, this feature is expected to be deployed to mobile application users, and by Q1/2024 it will be integrated for all MetaMask users.
Blockaid, a New York-based Web3 security company, was founded in September 2022 by experts from Unit 8200, the Israeli army's cyber intelligence force.
