According to TechFlow, on September 19, Coindesk reported that Commerzbank, Germany's second largest bank, announced a partnership with Crypto Finance, a subsidiary of Deutsche Boerse, to provide cryptocurrency trading services to German corporate clients. The service will be launched on September 19, 2024, initially focusing on Bitcoin and Ethereum transactions.
Gernot Kleckner, head of corporate clients at Commerzbank Capital Markets, said: "Our digital asset services enable corporate clients to seize the opportunities brought by Bitcoin and Ethereum for the first time. The solutions we provide together with Deutsche Börse Group represent the highest security standards for crypto asset trading and custody." Earlier news, Commerzbank obtained the German cryptocurrency custody license in November 2023, laying the foundation for its provision of a wide range of digital asset-related services. In this cooperation, Commerzbank will be responsible for providing custody services, while Crypto Finance will be responsible for enabling digital asset transactions.
