Former Celsius chief revenue officer Roni Cohen-Pavon was released on bail after pleading guilty to charges in 2023 and was granted permission to travel to Singapore to attend the Token2049 conference.
On September 13, Judge John Koeltl in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York granted Cohen-Pavon permission to travel from Israel to Singapore for business purposes from September 16-20. Cohen-Pavon is facing the same charges as former Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky, and is alleged to have made approximately $3.6 million in profits from CEL token sales.
In July 2023, U.S. authorities announced fraud charges against Mashinsky and Cohen-Pavon. Cohen-Pavon pleaded guilty to the charges and was released on $500,000 bail. We welcome your comments.
