Catizen airdrop distribution angers many users
As a game that claims to have tens of millions of players, the airdrop allocation method of "Catizen" has caused dissatisfaction among many users. The main point of controversy is that although the official ranking system is in place, the basis for allocating airdrops has little to do with it.
According to "Decrypt" reports, a player complained that he only received 39 CATI coins despite being ranked 6,054 in the game and belonging to the Royal Alliance. He questioned that "Catizen" did not distribute airdrops fairly and requested Officials need to be transparent about how allocations are made.

Other players also complained about receiving single or double-digit CATI coins and started spreading the hashtag#catizenscam(Catizen scam) on X (formerly Twitter).
Players rebounded not only from the number of CATI coins allocated, but also from the official sudden change in the airdrop ratio. Originally, “Catizen” promised to allocate 43% of the token supply to the community, but last week it was suddenly reduced to 30%, causing many players to question it.
The official also previously stated that "Catizen" will allocate airdrops based on the vKitty (cat coins) players obtain in the game. However, after opening the airdrop query, it changed the name. In order to prevent malicious swiping of coins by robots, it will be changed to based on on-chain interactions, task completion and Purchase and consume Fishcoins to distribute. This change has also been questioned by players as "Pay to Earn".
A player revealed to "CryptoCity" on Threads that he only played for 9 days. He only signed in every day and purchased a 0.9 gift pack. With the daily stored value reward, he would get over a thousand fish coins, and finally get received 88.54 CATI coins, and said that the reward ratio may mainly depend on the number of interactions on the chain.
