According to Odaily, Elon Musk recently announced on the X platform that direct messaging (DM) is being separated from public posts. He stated, 'DM is being separated from public posting, so if you just want to use this platform to send messages without posting publicly, you can do that.' This change aims to provide users with more control over their communication preferences on the platform.
Following Musk's announcement, blockchain detective ZachXBT commented, requesting an additional feature. He suggested, 'Please add the ability to disable random users from adding you to group chats, as currently, anyone can add you to a group unless you completely turn off DM.' This feedback highlights ongoing concerns about user privacy and control over interactions on the platform.
