PANews reported on August 27 that according to Chainwire, Legion, an on-chain project financing platform, has raised $2 million to develop a reputation-based IC0 platform and plans to become one of the first CASPs compliant with MiCA. The seed round was led by Cyber Fund, with participation from AllianceDAO, Delphi Labs, Coingecko, Mike Dudas, Alex Svanevik, Peter Smith, Maggie Love, Jon Wu, Ryan Watkins, LongHash and others. The platform aims to provide equal on-chain fundraising opportunities for new crypto projects through reputation and accountability mechanisms, especially for non-certified investors. Legion's team has participated in IC0s for several top projects and will use the new financing to build its reputation system while obtaining VASP/CASP licenses to facilitate pre-issuance fundraising and token sales for non-certified investors under MiCA.
