PANews reported on August 21 that according to Decrypt, Ethereum Domain Name Service (ENS) developer ENS Labs is working with digital identity provider Dentity to integrate verifiable credentials on the chain. On Wednesday, the two companies said in a statement that the new integration will enable ENS users to associate their on-chain identities with real-world identities, giving them the ability to decide the scope of information they share. Through this integration, ENS users can maintain control over publicly accessible personal identity information while ensuring that such information is not stored on the chain. Khori Whittaker, executive director of ENS Labs, pointed out that the two companies are bridging the gap between off-chain and on-chain identities by allowing users to have a real digital identity. Similarly, Dentity users can now use the newly developed integration path to connect their identity credentials to their ENS domains.
