According to the latest data, spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw net outflows of $148.56 million on Tuesday. Conversely, spot Ethereum ETFs saw net inflows of $98.3 million during the same period.

Bitcoin ETF Loses $148 Million, While Ethereum ETF Makes $98 Million

On August 6, as the crypto market began to recover from the sharp drop on August 5, Bitcoin ETFs saw a large outflow of funds, while Ethereum ETFs saw gains. A total of $148.56 million was withdrawn from the 12 spot Bitcoin ETFs, with Fidelity's FBTC leading the decline, shrinking by $64.48 million on Tuesday. Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) followed closely behind, shrinking by $32.18 million, bringing the total withdrawal amount since January 11, 2024 to $19.16 billion.

Following FBTC and GBTC, Ark Invest and 21shares' ARKB also suffered losses, with a loss of $28.18 million. Franklin Templeton's EZBC also suffered losses, with a loss of $23.01 million. Meanwhile, the eight spot Bitcoin ETFs had a flat performance on the day, with no inflows or outflows recorded. Tuesday's losses brought the BTC ETF's cumulative net inflows since January 11 to $17.19 billion. The 12 funds currently hold a total of $51.47 billion in assets, accounting for 4.61% of Bitcoin's market value.

Ethereum ETFs outperformed spot Bitcoin funds on Tuesday, with nine Ethereum ETFs attracting a total of $98.3 million. BlackRock’s ETHA led the gains, bringing in $109.89 million, while Fidelity’s FETH added $22.49 million. Grayscale’s Mini Ethereum Trust (ETH) added $4.7 million, while Franklin Templeton’s EZET achieved more modest gains of $950,330 during the trading session, according to the sosovalue.xyz indicator.

Grayscale's ETHE was the only fund to see outflows, with a net outflow of $39.73 million on Tuesday. Despite the inflows, the cumulative net inflows have only increased slightly, and these nine funds are still negative, with net inflows currently at $363.68 million. During yesterday's trading session, a total of $330.13 million was settled, and these funds currently hold approximately $7.06 billion in ETH reserves, accounting for 2.36% of the total market value of Ether.
