[European AFME proposes a policy roadmap to expand the scale of DLT in the capital market] Golden Finance reported that the European Financial Markets Association (AFME) has published a series of papers on digital finance and distributed ledger technology (DLT), including a section on tokenization. The association has released two policy roadmaps to expand the scale of DLT in EU and UK capital markets. DLT projects are currently in the experimental stage, but current regulations hinder the expansion potential of DLT use. Half of AFME's eight proposals are related to the Central Securities Depository Regulation (CSDR). AFME believes that it should be possible to operate a DLT settlement system (DLT SS) within a pilot system without obtaining full authorization as a central securities depository (CSD).
