According to Foresight News, Flow has announced that its mainnet will undergo the Crescendo upgrade on September 4 at 20:00. Flow stated that Crescendo will be the most significant upgrade to the Flow network since its inception. The upgrade includes full EVM equivalence for all developers on Flow, marking the maturity of Cadence 1.0, Flow's native programming environment. Full EVM equivalence means that any smart contract, protocol, or tool running on the Ethereum mainnet will be able to operate on Flow, similar to EVM Layer 2 solutions. The network upgrade is expected to take approximately six hours, during which the Flow mainnet will be in maintenance mode and will not process transactions.
