PEANUT MEMECOIN RALLIES TO $120 MILLION MARKET CAP AFTER SQUIRRELâS EUTHANIZATION SPARKS OUTRAGE The PNUT memecoin surged to a $120 million market cap following widespread outrage over the euthanization of Peanut, a squirrel belonging to New York-based animal caretaker Mark Longo. The Solana-based token, launched on November 1, quickly gained traction on social media and ranks among the top Solana coins on the Radium DEX. Longo criticized the New York Department of Environmental Conservation for seizing and euthanizing Peanut and a raccoon, calling the stateâs decision âheavy-handed.â Supporters rallied, driving the coinâs rapid rise and pushing it closer to competing with other animal-themed memecoins like Thailandâs Moo Deng.
