$BTC Market expectations with FED interest rates until early 2025
Announcement schedule according to Vietnamese time:
- August 1: Maintain
- September 19: Reduced by 0.25% to 5.00-5.25%
- November 8: Reduced by 0.25% to 4.75-5.00%
- December 19: Reduced by 0.25% to 4.50-4.75%
- January 30, 2025: Maintain
- March 20, 2025: Reduced by 0.25% to 4.25-4.50%
So from now until the end of the year, the market is expecting the FED to cut three times, each time by 0.25%. This cut is not too large to directly impact the economy but marks an important turning point in the current interest rate cycle, the first time the FED has reduced interest rates in more than 4 years.
However, this is just a current forecast. There will be changes expected after 7:30 pm tonight when the US will announce PCE, the FED's favorite inflation measure. Forecasts show that PCE will decrease slightly:
- PCE Y/Y (Forecast = 2.4%, previous month = 2.6%)
- PCE Core Y/Y (Forecast = 2.5%, previous month = 2.6%)
