European regulators have issued new guidelines for the classification of crypto assets under MiCA. 🧐

- On July 12, three European supervisory authorities (EBA, EIOPA, ESMA) published a consultation document.

- Goal: standardization and clarity of classification of crypto assets.

- Questions to determine: who the issuer is, whether the token is based on the blockchain and whether it is a financial instrument.

- Comments will be accepted until mid-October, with a virtual hearing scheduled for September 23.
