PANews July 19 news, the Argentine government signed a fiscal plan this week to grant tax amnesty to individuals who declare $100,000 (including registered crypto assets). Roberto Silva, chairman of the Argentine National Securities Commission, said the amnesty was intended to ease pressure from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). According to an analysis by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), FATF threatens to put Argentina on the gray list, which could affect foreign direct investment and GDP.

Silva pointed out that the registration of crypto assets is the first step in regulation and may follow US rules. Experts believe that this will help Argentina regulate its cryptocurrency market. In May and June of this year, Argentina stepped up its crackdown on cryptocurrency-related crimes, conducting 64 raids and arresting 30 criminals.

Argentine leaders will meet with FATF in Paris in October to continue assessing money laundering and terrorist financing risks. The future of Bitcoin is still full of hope! 🚀
