ChainCatcher reported that according to CBS, a letter from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) showed that the committee has decided to hold a virtual roll call vote in August and formally nominate President Biden as the Democratic presidential candidate.

Tim Waltz, head of the DNC Rules Committee and Governor of Minnesota, and Leah Dottery said: "We will explain in detail why virtual voting is the most sensible approach and how it works. On Friday, we will propose a framework for how to best negotiate. Next week, we will continue with the second meeting to review and adopt specific rules for this purpose."
