According to ChainCatcher, MakerDAO founder Rune Christensen announced the launch of the NewGovToken activation function. Holders can obtain SPK rewards by activating NewGovToken, accounting for 15% of the total rewards.

NewGovToken can be obtained by upgrading MKR at 1:24,000, with no lock-up period and can be deactivated at any time. In the future, stablecoin rewards and token rewards from other SubDAOs can also be selected. The function needs to be approved by the governance process and is not open to US and VPN users.
