According to ChainCatcher, the paper "An Empirical Study on the Security of Move Smart Contracts: Introducing MoveScan for Enhanced Analysis" by the MoveBit team of Web3 security company BitsLab was accepted by the top international conference ISSTA 2024. The research work also received strong support from Aptos Labs and Mysten Lab.

The study comprehensively analyzed the security of Move contracts for the first time and developed an efficient and accurate MoveScan tool, which found 97,169 defects in 37,302 contracts on the Aptos and Sui blockchains, indicating that the defects are widespread.

Furthermore, experimental results show that MoveScan has an accuracy of 98.85% and an average analysis time of only 5.45 milliseconds.
