The XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon was grandly held from 6/28 to 6/30. During this period, the XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon successfully attracted 110+ student registrations and a total of 25 project registrations to compete for more than NT$350,000 in hackathon bonuses and selected internships. and a fully subsidized opportunity to travel abroad to participate in a hackathon.

Demo-day Panel Discussion: Why Hackathon for Students & Developers in Web3

Before the group report, XueDAO arranged a special discussion "Why Hackathon for Students & Developers in Web3", led by four well-known blockchain experts and developers, including Steven (Scallop), Martinet (Zircuit), Jim (Zeus ) and Eric (Cathay Financial Holdings), shared their insights on participating in the Web3 Hackathon with the audience, and deeply discussed how the Hackathon can provide students and developers with a platform for innovation, experimentation, and learning to promote their growth in the Web3 field.

In addition, participating in the hackathon provides participants with valuable network connections, opportunities to learn from other developers, and improve their own technical capabilities. Therefore, the speakers encouraged students to actively participate and even challenge themselves on the international stage.

Wonderful reports from students in each group

On Demo Day, a total of 15 student teams from all over Taiwan took the stage to showcase their creativity and technology.

These teams cover a variety of different blockchain applications, including data fact-checking platforms, teams on homeless teachers, whistleblower reporting platforms, privacy protection applications, real estate investments, etc. Their report shows how blockchain technology innovation can be applied to multiple fields such as education, media, privacy protection, and finance.

These student teams not only demonstrated a high degree of professionalism in technology, but also brought many amazing ideas in creativity and implementation. The audience and judges expressed great appreciation for their presentations and look forward to the continued development of these innovative projects in the future. The presentations of each group of teams were full of enthusiasm and motivation, fully reflecting the potential and strength of Taiwanese students in the blockchain field.

After Party Panel Discussion: Blockchain for Good - Rebuilding Transparency and Trust

Finally, in the After Party before the end of the event, XueDAO arranged a lecture with the theme of Blockchain For Good Alliance (BGA) - discussing the topic of "Blockchain Education and Public Welfare, Rebuilding Transparency and Trust". The speakers included Allan (BGA & MoleDAO), Noah (Da0), Xu Mingen (Blocktrend) and Jacky (BuZhiDAO).

BGA is an organization dedicated to promoting the use of blockchain technology to achieve social impact. This roundtable discussion also focused on exploring the innovative applications of blockchain technology in the fields of education and public welfare, and how to use these technologies to rebuild relationships between people. Information transparency and trust.

Reaffirming GLHF International Hackathon Student Scholarship Program

On Demo Day, Jacky personally explained the new project jointly launched by major blockchain and education experts and XueDAO - GLHF - Global Learning Hackathon Fund, which fully subsidizes students to go abroad to participate in international hackathons and provides mentorship.

Registration for this program has opened on June 28, and the first wave of submissions will close on July 9. A physical workshop will be arranged for final screening on July 13, and the list of selected candidates and candidates will be announced on July 15. Admitted students will participate in the ETH Tokyo Hackathon on 8/23-26 and the Dev Con ETH Global Hackathon (Bangkok) on 11/15-17.
