"Julian Assange's Bitcoin wallet received $500,000 worth of Bitcoin from a mystery donor on Tuesday. The donation comes after Assange was released from Britain's high-security Belmarsh prison on Monday after striking a plea deal with US authorities after serving five years in prison 🕵️‍♂️💰

According to blockchain data, a donation worth 8.2 BTC ($492,254) was transferred to Assange's Bitcoin donation address displayed on the website freeassange.org.

Assange was released on Wednesday after pleading guilty to an espionage charge and has since returned to Australia. However, the Bitcoin donation covered almost the entire cost of the loan, although they successfully raised 78% of their goal through Crowdfunder. 🎉

Who sent Bitcoin? The two men indirectly – but not directly – claimed credit for the donation. One was internet personality Andrew Tate, who responded with a gift emoji to someone who brought up the transaction on Twitter. However, the Bitcoin community was more skeptical of Tate's claim and demanded that he personally sign the transaction to prove that he controlled the sender's address. However, observers later noticed a subtle claim from another wealthy personality with much deeper roots in the Bitcoin community.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey tweeted "Secure relay" at 5:03pm on Tuesday - the exact time the transaction is sent up the chain. 🐦

Dorsey's company, Block, is spearheading many Bitcoin infrastructure initiatives. This includes an entry-level multi-signature wallet vendor, a mining chip manufacturer, and CashApp, a platform for purchasing Bitcoin. Additionally, he has repeatedly donated money to Bitcoin developers and keeps BTC on his company's balance sheet.

So who do you think this mysterious donor could be? We are waiting your comments! 👇"
