SafeCoin is a novel cryptocurrency focused on privacy and security. Safecoin aims to be a secure and standardized cryptocurrency that integrates all Zcash coins and existing branch tokens into a complete private ecosystem while bringing innovation using the enhanced features of a fun, abundant community. Komodo and Zcash forked to make SafeCoin, merging aspects of both projects and integrating the Solana codebase. The project uses $SAFE as its core utility token. SafeCoin consensus utilizes a hybrid approach mixing properties of Proof of Stake and a novel consensus mechanism, Proof of History, in which computations can verify the passage of time between two events cryptographically. It uses a cryptographically secure function written so that output cannot be predicted from the input and must be executed entirely to generate the output. PoH is a second layer of defence for Safecoin's POS (Proof of Stake) consensus, which protects against many outstanding POS vulnerabilities, including (but not limited to) Sybil attacks.
SafeCoin leverages Solana, Zcash, Komodo, and other technological innovations to create an advanced privacy coin with accessible allocation and distribution. SafeCoin reports building on Zcash's existing technology to create a completely anonymous and private ecosystem, striving to become the standard for security. Safecoin claims to be working on improving its functionality and security through the efforts of its community members.
