MAJOR UPDATE FROM MT. GOX!
After years of anticipation, the Rehabilitation Trustee has announced that Mt. Gox will start distributing $9 BILLION in bitcoin and bitcoin cash repayments from July 1st, 2024!
According to the notice, the repayments will be made in the order of cryptocurrency exchanges, ensuring a safe and compliant process.
This news comes after creditors reported an update on the rehabilitation claims system, showing amounts of BTC and BCH to be repaid, with a completion date in April. In May, Mt. Gox even moved at least $2.9 billion in bitcoin for the first time in five years!
Remember, this is a massive development for those affected by the 2014 security breach that led to the loss of 850,000 bitcoin.
