In an effort to promote the adoption of #Web3 gaming, Immutable and #Polygon , two leading Ethereum scaling solutions, have joined forces to create a gaming blockchain.
The new network, called Immutable zkEVM, will use Polygon's zero-knowledge technology to expedite the development of Web3-enabled games, allowing large studios and independent developers to create high-quality #games that support true asset ownership.
The network is awaiting the launch of Polygon's zkEVM, which is slated to go live on March 27th. Gaming is rapidly growing in popularity within the blockchain industry, and the partnership aims to build an Ethereum-centric gaming ecosystem that will bring digital ownership to millions of people worldwide.
The Immutable zkEVM is an additional option for game developers and does not replace Immutable X, the platform's existing Starkware-based solution.
