According to Odaily, Celestia is set to activate Lemongrass on the Arabica Devnet in August. Following this, the Mocha Testnet will also undergo an upgrade in August, with the Lemongrass version of the Celestia mainnet testnet scheduled for release between early to mid-September. The upcoming upgrade will introduce several significant changes aimed at improving network performance and interoperability.

The key changes include the implementation of CIP-6, which sets a minimum gas price to reduce network spam transactions. CIP-9 will introduce middleware for packet forwarding, enhancing the efficiency of IBC cross-chain transfers. CIP-10 will establish a new network upgrade signaling mechanism to simplify and expedite future upgrades. Additionally, CIP-14 will introduce cross-chain account functionality, boosting interoperability with the Cosmos ecosystem. Lastly, CIP-20 will deprecate the Blobstream module, simplifying the network architecture and improving performance.
