Great interest in Elon Musk's Brain Chip... Thousands of People Lined Up

There is great interest in the brain chips produced by Neuralink, one of Elon Musk's companies. Thousands of people lined up for the technology leader's new product.

Elon Musk, one of the leading leaders in the technology world, started working on a brain chip with Neuralink, which was founded in 2016, and even the company's testing of the chips on monkeys was met with harsh criticism.

However, according to Bloomberg news; Author Ashlee Vance, who came to prominence with the books she wrote about Musk, stated that thousands of people are interested in purchasing one of Neuralink's brain implants.

The chips have not been implanted in a human yet, but according to Vance, 11 people will be implanted next year and more than 22 thousand people will be implanted by 2030.

Earlier this year, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave Neuralink approval for human testing of the device. According to Reuters, the FDA previously rejected Neuralink's human test proposal in March for safety reasons.

In September, the company started recruiting personnel for its first human experiment. Neuralink said in a blog post that it is looking for people who are paralyzed in all four limbs due to spinal cord injury or ALS.

While the company primarily aims to help people with neurological conditions, it hopes to eventually make a device that will create a kind of symbiosis between humans and machines, allowing people to send messages or play games using only their thoughts.

Vance said it took about 25 minutes to implant the device, and the threads that make up the device are so thin they are about 1/14 the width of a single human hair.

According to the author, who observes Musk closely; Neuralink has performed 155 implantation surgeries, including on pigs and monkeys. He also noted that the famous tech leader is trying to fight competition from other brain-computer startups such as Synchron and Onward, which have already begun human trials.
