The US Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris continues to gain ground, moving ahead of Donald Trump on Polymarket. Meanwhile, Kamala Horris (KAMA) turned out to be one of the biggest gainers among the PolitiFi meme coins as Democrats prepare for another crypto-focused meeting.

Meme tokens based on Donald Trump endured significant sell-offs after his interview with Elon Musk did not include any crypto discussions. MAGA, the largest Trump-linked meme coin, lost over 15% of its price value in the last 7 days. Other meme tokens like Baby Trump and Donal Tremp are also down by 11% and 30%, respectively.

MAGA and other Trump coins dips ahead of US elections

The disappointing run of Trump-linked likely stems from the lack of crypto discussions during the interview hosted by Elon Musk on X Spaces, which went against the expectations of many who tuned in. Token holders might be cashing out due to their unmet expectations.

Meanwhile, the Kamala Harris-inspired meme token, KAMA is on the rise. It rallied by over 9% in the past 24 hours as the person also gained support in the upcoming presidential race. Polymarket data shows Kamala Harris’ odds of winning the election now surpass Trump’s. Kamala is leading with 53% in the race while Donald Trump trails with 46%.

Kamala Harris has not publicly committed to supporting the crypto industry. However, rumors of private meetings with crypto experts to discuss related issues have been circulating.

Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett notes that while the meetings are “friendly” and seen as a positive first step, there’s still uncertainty about Harris’ actual crypto policy stance and who her economic advisers might be. The Crypto for Harris group is boosting her profile among crypto enthusiasts by raising awareness of her potential pro-crypto stance.

The group is hosting a town hall on Wednesday with crypto enthusiasts to discuss what a Harris administration might mean for the crypto industry. The “Harris crypto reset” campaign will hold another Town Hall meeting this Thursday, following a seemingly successful session with crypto leaders last week.

Democrats continue to work to reset their relationship with crypto enthusiasts as the November elections approach. Meanwhile, the digital assets industry stabilizes after a stint of massive fluctuations. However, Kamala Harris’ stance on crypto policy remains unclear.
