😱🫨Elon Musk Supported Donald Trump After the Assassination Attempt

#elonmusk quickly backed former president Trump after multiple gunshots were heard during his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

"I fully support President #donaldtrump and hope for a speedy recovery," X's CEO wrote in the caption attached to the video showing Trump being taken away by Secret Service agents.

The footage shows Trump regaining his composure and then turning defiantly into the crowd with blood covering his ear and splattering the side of his face.

The outage occurred less than ten minutes into the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Musk later tweeted: "The last time America had a candidate this formidable was Theodore Roosevelt."

Trump added in his statement that he was "fine" and under control at a local medical facility. A rally attendee was killed in the attack, and the attacker was fatally shot moments after opening fire, the Associated Press reported.

“An incident occurred at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania on the evening of July 13,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in an official statement. “The Secret Service has taken protective measures and the former President is safe. "This is currently an active Secret Service investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available."

Musk had not officially announced his support for either candidate before Saturday. In March, Musk mocked the last-minute presidential endorsement, saying he was "staying away from Biden" but indicated he planned to keep his promise not to donate to any of the 2024 candidates.

"I'm moving away from Biden," Musk told TV host Don Lemon in an interview. "I didn't hide it."

Trump's team described the incident as an assassination attempt in a statement on Saturday.

"President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders who took quick action during this heinous act," the statement said. "He is in stable condition and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details to come."
