Zilliqa is a new public blockchain platform designed for high-throughput applications, implementing sharding to increase transaction rates as the network expands. It has demonstrated a throughput of over 2,800 transactions per second, vastly surpassing current popular blockchains. Zilliqa offers a secure smart contract language, Scilla, for security-by-design programming.
