**Crypto Firms Urged to Double-Check Code Amid Rising Cyber Threats**
JP Richardson, CEO of Exodus, a self-custodial crypto platform, emphasizes the critical need for external code reviews to safeguard against malicious actors. Speaking at Token2049 in Singapore, Richardson highlighted the increasing sophistication of hackers, particularly North Korean operatives, who infiltrate crypto firms by faking identities and uploading harmful code.
Richardson insists that all code, even from trusted engineers, must undergo thorough review to protect customer data. This call for heightened security measures follows revelations of North Korean developers earning substantial sums by working for established crypto projects under false pretenses.

FBI Conducts New Bitcoin (BTC) Operation!
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested 20-year-old Singaporean Malone Lam in the US on charges of conspiring to steal and then launder $230 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) from Washington County residents.
According to the FBI, Lam, 20, was found to have used the aliases Anne Hathaway and â$$$,â while her accomplice Jeandiel Serrano, from Los Angeles, was found to have used the aliases âVersaceGodâ and âSkidStar.â
Singaporean Malone Lam is accused of stealing more than 4,100 BTC. After gaining access to the victimsâ cryptocurrency accounts, Lam transferred the $BTC to his own accounts. Investigators believe Lam and Serrano began implementing their criminal scheme in August.
Evidence from the investigation suggests that the attackers used pass-through wallets and VPNs to move stolen Bitcoins (BTC) through various exchanges and crypto-mixers to maintain anonymity and hide their tracks.
The FBI alleges that a group of collaborators spent the laundered money on a lavish lifestyle: trips abroad, nightclubs, luxury cars, jewelry, and rental properties in Los Angeles and Miami.
