Cryptocurrency speculation is one thing, and besides Atomicals, I also speculate everywhere, changing tracks every day, and always adhere to the principle of "speculating on new things, not old things."
In the past few years, many things that were "planned" to the end have finally failed miserably. The so-called diamond hands have learned enough lessons.
But this time, I still chose to drill it once.
The first reason is that the cryptocurrency market is still in its early stages, and the general environment makes me choose to hold on for the long term.
First of all, the bull market is far from coming. My definition of a bull market is that when people start to think that the general environment is ready for BTC to enter a "permanent bull market", it will be considered a stage high.
Now? It’s too early. The real big shot may come in 2025, which I can accept.
The only thing that is certain now is that this moment is definitely not the end.
The second reason is the durability and certainty of the “Bitcoin ecosystem” narrative.
I have argued countless times why these five words will explode in the future, and why Atomicals is an indispensable part of the Bitcoin ecosystem. These have given me a firm reason to run through different price periods. I had the same reason to hold Quark 150U at the beginning, and then I bought the bottom of Quark 30U later.
Third, the Atomicals protocol is really awesome.
I won’t say much about CX today. I have argued this countless times, but it is not the focus of today’s article, so I will not go into it. If you are interested, you can take some time to look through my historical tweets.
The above is just from an investment perspective, and it is the third reason why I am willing to "stick to it".
On the other hand, why do I want to build it myself? This is what makes it different from other sectors. Below, I will talk about my thoughts on "building".
(This article does not introduce Atomicals much, but mainly focuses on the subjective mentality of the Builder)
————
To me, Atomicals is really different. When I first entered the cryptocurrency world, I never thought that one day I would settle down and become a builder of investment products, writing articles, making websites, and promoting community building.
I think some of my views are also common across different ecosystems and communities, and I hope that everyone who considers themselves a Builder can resonate with them.
First, today’s Atomicals ecosystem is too similar to the early days of “Daye”.
An ownerless ecosystem, a top-level narrative, and some inevitable reasons independent of price. A group of firm idealistic believers, a group of dedicated long-term builders, and the determination of a group of people in the Atomicals community are truly "never return until Loulan is conquered."
In the history of blockchain development, those who have achieved the greatest achievements are often the most determined idealists.
Looking at the token prices, atom is one-seventh of its high today, quark is one-fourth of its high, and most other tokens are also far from their highs. But independent of the price, the core narrative of Atomicals has not changed (not changed by the price drop), and the reason why the ecosystem Builder persists has not changed. What encourages the community to continue building is still our previous expectation - Bitcoin needs Atomicals, and Atomicals will definitely have a place in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Every time someone in the community is shaken by price fluctuations, I always ask: What were the reasons why you were optimistic about Quark/Atom at the time? Have these reasons changed fundamentally now?
What’s interesting is that although our community is often quite lively, most people don’t choose to invest because of the strong community. More people really think that the Atomicals protocol is “something.”
Yes, Atomicals does have a lot of "stuff", and it has only gotten better, not worse, and has not stopped. This has been consistent throughout the different stages of popularity and price.
Prices fluctuate cyclically, but the protocol ecosystem is developing in a positive direction. In this way, the phenomenon reflected by cyclical fluctuations is likely to be: a history of fluctuations + intermittent jumps.
I often liken today’s Atomicals to early Bitcoin or early blockchain, and given the current environment of capital influx, this process will be greatly accelerated. Great things may be accomplished late, but great things will eventually be accomplished. How long will it take for Atomicals to achieve success? We will have to wait and see.
Second, I always believe that success depends on human efforts.
I have elaborated on this point in other articles.
Everything depends on human efforts, especially Web3. This is a place for ordinary people, and there is no absolute fairness, but it is already a high-dimensional attempt at relative fairness in this society.
Here, everyone is important, and everything may become a historical turning point in the fast-paced Web3. Every effort will be magnified countless times.
Especially for tokens represented by communities, imagine that if you remove the single-digit core Builders from any community coin you have played, then the so-called "narrative" of the rise of this coin is not so tenable? The popularity of a coin is often due to the so-called narrative or culture, but no matter which one, someone has to tell the story to form a system.
This is particularly evident in some small-market-cap coins. When a coin has no project party, the power of a few Builders is too important. This small number of Builders represents the so-called "project party" of this coin to a certain extent.
Since Atomicals is already the best ecosystem in my opinion, then choosing to do something in this ecosystem is also in line with my ideal to shine. On the premise of having a narrative and technical foundation, I will try my best to make this "elegance" known to the world from the perspective of the community.
I often wonder, if Bitcoin had not had its first core evangelists a few years before its birth, would its future really be certain? Would it really be what it is today? Perhaps it is hard to say.
When I fully understood the importance of "construction", the first reason I chose to stay was not entirely because I wanted to build on my own initiative, but more because I had seen many people whom I respected, supported and liked working hard here. Being able to work with a group of excellent builders made this path to pursuing my ideals even more attractive.
“Success may not depend on me, but I must be part of it.”
Third, community and ecology are always moving in two directions.
If Atomicals succeeds, the return to our Builder will certainly not be bad.
An excellent ecosystem will always attract a group of early participants.
Today, every ARC-20 holder and evangelist is not only a future beneficiary of material benefits, but also a significant figure in the history of Atomicals.
Regardless of whether Atomicals succeeds or not, or when it succeeds, I have gained a lot and grown a lot from building Atomicals. My account was blank at the beginning. I started from simply shouting orders at CX, and then preached for the entire ecosystem. Now I have a small amount of traffic. At the same time, I tried to make pictures, robots, websites, open spaces, organize activities... Regardless of the investment results, along the way, the construction has always made me a better person. I believe that every community builder feels the same way.
While we are looking forward to Atomicals becoming better, Atomicals may also help each of us grow and improve. Even if you are just an ordinary holder, the investment process is also a real learning and feeling of the development and changes of the Bitcoin ecosystem. Step by step, we build an ecosystem, and this ecosystem also builds us unconsciously. Try to improve, learn, input and output, this is a place where hard work is rewarded.
It’s the same old saying: We are all witnesses of history. The identities of you and me today may be something that future Bitcoin ecosystem players cannot envy.
Imagine if you were an early adopter of Bitcoin. What else would you have done 15 years ago besides investing? History is written by us, and we will become history.
————
The above are my three original ideas about the matter of “construction”.
I believe that the builders in today's ecosystem have a lot in common. This spirit of construction can only appear when we are in the Atomicals ecosystem. In many cases, it may not be the subjective choice of these evangelists or developers, but Atomicals is attracting us. Its flexibility, nativeness, and purity make us finally choose to believe in Bitcoin's Native ecosystem, and choose to believe that this is an ecosystem that will create history for Bitcoin and will also be shaped into history by Bitcoin.
My definition of life should have two main To Do Lists, one is the pursuit of wealth, the other is the pursuit of ideals. The moment I chose Atomicals, I almost had them all.
But for the general public, especially for those who do not understand and participate in the Atomicals ecosystem, what should be shared is:
Why do I consider Atomicals a "big business"?
Why do I feel I can get more results with less effort by working for Atomicals?
Why did I only choose to go to Atomicals?
I could talk about these topics for a whole day (actually I have been talking about them for several months). Don’t worry, I will say more later. I hope that someday these random thoughts can be piled up into a book (I hope I can persist until that day).
If you have read most of my historical articles, you will find that many of them are trying new ideas and new expressions - even though I have always been talking about Atomicals. That's because there are so many things that can be said about Atomicals. Until now, there are still no less than 10 different topics in my draft box, waiting for the day when I have the energy to write a complete article.
What kind of agreement can allow me to think again after I have thought about it, and have something to say after I have spoken about it? This is the charm of Atomicals.
Keep thinking, keep believing and keep building.
Finally, I would like to leave you with a phrase that I like recently: “Welcome to Bitcoin 2.0”
