Most traders I met at the beginning of my career twenty years ago were all very capable and smart people. Most of them have quit trading because of different reasons. It doesn’t mean that if they would have had enough time to practice trading, they would not have become successful.

To become successful, you will need to give yourselves a long enough timescale. Becoming a great trader does not usually happen in the timeframe you want it or need it. Therefore, be prepared to lose the battle if you don’t have a long enough time horizon.

Do not be misled by the success of other traders, because it usually comes with a price tag that reads: “time”.
