CoinVoice recently learned that according to Bitcoin.com, Bitcoin mining company Marathon Digital Holdings has announced a new 2 megawatt (MW) pilot project to use the heat generated by Bitcoin mining operations to heat a community of 11,000 residents in Finland. The plan is Marathon's first digital asset computing operation designed for regional heating solutions.

It is reported that the core of the project is to heat water in a centralized location and distribute it to local areas through underground pipes. Marathon is exploring ways to monetize its computing power by generating recycled heat instead of relying on fossil fuels. [Original link]
