Michael Dell, founder of the company that bears his surname, published a meme about Bitcoin on his social networks this Friday morning (21). Apparently, the billionaire is another one who took the ‘orange pill’.

This is because this Thursday (20), Dell had already posted a message written “scarcity generates value”, that is, one of the economic principles that explains the great appreciation of Bitcoin since its launch in 2009.

According to data from Forbes, today the American is the 14th richest man in the world with a fortune of US$110.5 billion (R$602 billion). Furthermore, the Dell brand is one of the oldest and most remembered in the computer sector. Therefore, it is possible that BTC has gained another great ally.

Michael Dell publishes messages about Bitcoin

In one of the few times he spoke about Bitcoin and blockchain, Michael Dell said that the technology was underestimated. However, he was humble when he said he didn't know much about Bitcoin. His comments date back to 2021 when BTC was on a huge rally.

Although its competitors Amazon and Microsoft are already working on blockchain solutions, Dell is out of this race. However, this appears to be changing.

“What do you think will be the next big technological innovation? Please vote and share your opinions.”

What do you think will be the next big breakthrough in tech?? Please vote and share your thoughts.

Voting is close, with 36.2% of votes for blockchain and 34.5% for Artificial Intelligence (AI). Next come quantum computing (21.7%) and space technology (7.7%). As of this writing, there are around 9,500 votes in the poll.

Anyway, what caught the most attention was another post, in which Dell published a meme about Bitcoin. The image shows the Cookie Monster character eating bitcoins, an indication that the billionaire would be making contributions to the cryptocurrency.

“This is a great profile to follow @MeCookieMonster. Very fun.”

His namesake, Michael Saylor, appears in the comments. In response to the meme, the MicroStrategy founder wrote that “Bitcoin is for everyone.” Saylor also commented on Dell's other post, showing interest in a dialogue.

“Scarcity creates value,” wrote Michael Dell.

“Bitcoin is digital scarcity,” replied Michael Saylor.

#Bitcoin is Digital Scarcity.

Finally, it is possible that Michael Dell's mysterious posts will be explained in the near future, which could raise market sentiment due to the executive's importance.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $63,600, its worst price since mid-May due to large outflows from ETFs.
