🎉Good news! Odaily Planet Daily reported that Christine Kim, vice president of Galaxy Research, shared the main content of the latest conference call of Ethereum Core Developers (ACDE). Developers are actively promoting various code changes, including Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIP) 7251 and 7702, as well as Ethereum Virtual Object Format (EOF) and PeerDAS. 🚀
At the meeting, the developers first discussed Pectra Devnet 1. Their goal is to release the next dedicated test network for the Pectra upgrade in the coming week. The main specification changes include: adding validator merges triggered by EL, and replacing EIP 3074 with EIP 7702. 👏
Regarding the implementation of EOF, Beiko confirmed that EOF will not be tested on Devnet 1, but should be rebuilt based on the latest Pectra specifications. Although this strategy will make debugging EOF more difficult, Barnabas Busa, developer operations engineer at the Ethereum Foundation (EF), emphasized that this is because the Pectra specifications are changing and debugging is also being carried out at the same time. 🔧
Regarding the EIP 7702 update, although developers are implementing EIP 7702 on Devnet 1, the code change may still be significantly revised to support new features, especially the ability for users to revoke transaction authorization that enables EIP 7702. The project team believes that finalizing the design of EIP 7702 is an important issue and recommends that developers organize further discussions to reach consensus. 🤝
EOF meetings have been changed to biweekly, and now that the specification has been finalized, the focus of work has shifted to testing and client implementation. In addition, the PeerDAS development network is expected to go live in the next one to two weeks, based on the Dencun specification instead of Pectra. 🎯
Finally, Beiko reminded the teams that the next ACDE conference call will be held on July 4th, a US holiday. Let's look forward to more progress and good news! 🎈
