đ¨ Political corruption on Wall Street đ¨
Sam Bankman-Fried âbecame a gamer,â not because of FTX or #Alameda . It was because âhe had millions of dollars to give to the political system.â
Additionally, he said the intent was to corrupt parts of the system that he knew needed to be corrupted. This would allow him to continue with his âplanâ without hindrance. Cuban said the problem was a lack of transparency, and Stewart agreed, stating:
âWhen I look at the intricate workings of Wall Street, it doesn't look much different from the shit that Sam Bankman-Fried pulled.â
He questioned âlegalized corruptionâ in the United States. Cuban asked how #SBF and #FTX were different from âCongressional stock deals and the conflict of interest on Wall Street.â
Cuban agreed and said it makes no difference because âmoney buys power.â In the case of Elon Musk, he bought the platform [ #Twitter /X]; in the case of SBF, it bought politicians, he added.
Cuban went on to say, âIt takes a couple of frauds to burst a bubble,â before adding:
âNow cryptocurrencies will act together, but we don't have the equivalent in government and politics. âEveryone is still corrupt.â
