In a recent video interview, BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes predicted that Aptos will surpass Solana ($SOL ) in the Layer 1 (L1) blockchain competition and become the second most popular L1.
He believes this shift will happen within one to three years, with more details to be revealed in September.
Arthur Hayes also warned that the biggest risk for the next two to three years is a potential major hack on a crypto custodian, which could result in the loss of $50 billion to $100 billion in cryptocurrencies.
He stated that such an event could signify the end of the current market cycle.
