Since its launch, #Optimism has been looking to introduce measures to approve withdrawals on its #Network , and $OP is finally looking at a breakthrough. The implementation of its new fault proofs has reached the mainnet.

Formerly, the Optimism Security Council held all the power to initiate withdrawals; now, the fault proofs put that power in the hands of the users while allowing them to query withdrawals, too. Of course, the changes won’t be all too drastic, as the Security Council will keep overseeing withdrawal operations as the fault proofs gradually ease into functionality.

As with most #DeFi projects, there hasn’t been much focus on the price. In fact, OP price is down 19% in the past week despite a raging bull run in May. Even now, experts think the Optimism price is more likely to test its $2 #support than surge elsewhere.
