UwU Lend, a protocol that was previously the target of a nearly $20 million heist on June 10, is now facing ongoing crypto exploits that have resulted in the theft of $3.7 million. 😱
This news comes as the protocol is trying to recoup its users' losses following a $19.3 million heist on June 10.
Cyvers, an on-chain data analytics platform, first notified UwU Lend of the ongoing exploit. According to their findings, the perpetrator behind this latest incident appears to be the same one responsible for the previous $19.3 million robbery.
The stolen funds, originating from various asset pools, including uDAI, uWETH, uLUSD, uFRAX, uCRVUSD, and uUSDT, were converted to Ethereum and transferred to the attacker's address.
After the initial robbery on June 10, the UwU Lend development team notified the community that they had implemented immediate steps to mitigate the damage. The protocol was temporarily halted while an investigation was conducted into the vulnerability exploited by hackers.
