Celebrity Comments on Ethereum and Memecoin: What’s Wrong with the Ecosystem?

Evgeny Gaevoy, CEO of cryptocurrency platform Wintermute, noted that#Ethereumleaders must choose between supporting a capitalist or socialist economic system, and they can’t have it both ways. Following recent comments by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and founder of Ethereum-based decentralized exchange (#DEX) Uniswap Hayden Adams, Gaevoy said in an X post on June 6 that you can’t have it both ways, mentioning the name of the famous memecoin project.

Gaevoy said: Buterin feels that Adams and many others in the Ethereum community face a contradiction, declaring that they want to develop products that will bring positive change to society and ultimately have value, while continuing to work on solving the maximum extractable value: BinanceTR’s $21 million prize pool is waiting for you! “#Vitalik, Hayden, and many others have tried to solve the problem of capitalism by saying that what we build will only be respected if the results are valuable or the best developers are respected.”

Gaevoy believes that blockchain technology itself is conducive to creating systems based entirely on capitalist incentives. This follows Buterin’s recent comments that celebrity memecoin projects are of no value to society.

Buterin explained on June 5 that he believes the goal of projects should be that even if the tokens ultimately become worthless, ordinary participants should still feel satisfied and happy about their participation. Moreover, he believes that financialization is only justified when it serves the purpose of adding value to society, such as improving healthcare, supporting open source software, and encouraging art and creativity. #现货以太坊ETF获美SEC批准 #美国4月核心PCE指标显示通胀放缓 #meme板块关注热点 $ETH $NOT
