According to Foresight News, Telegram CEO Du Rove announced the launch of Telegram Stars, a new feature that allows mini-programs to accept payments for digital services. These mini-programs, including Notcoin, can be used without installation and can be purchased within apps on Android and iOS platforms. Developers can mine stars through TON using Fragment and use the stars to further promote their apps on Telegram under preferential conditions.
When users purchase Stars from Apple and Google, a 30% service fee will be deducted. However, Telegram will support ads purchased using Telegram Stars. This move by Telegram is seen as a way to encourage more developers to use their platform and promote their apps.
