Golden Finance reported that the South Korean Ministry of Justice announced the formulation of the "Regulations on Partial Amendment of the Scope of Crimes for Prosecutors to File Cases", which will include virtual asset crimes in the scope of direct investigation by prosecutors. The South Korean prosecutorial authorities will directly investigate economic crimes, including crimes related to the "Virtual Asset User Protection Act". The bill aims to protect virtual asset users and will take effect on July 19. Violators may face more than one year in prison or a fine.
