Only after the adoption of legislation will it be possible to “get a certain basis” - to establish OKVED codes for mining, taxation standards and other elements of the regulatory framework for Russian miners, said Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy Valery Seleznev during the panel discussion “Industrial mining - a strategic direction for international cooperation » within the framework of the International Economic Forum (SPIEF) taking place in St. Petersburg.
Participants in the forum session discussed the prospects and demand for cryptocurrencies in foreign economic settlements, regulation and bills under consideration, as well as the introduction of mining into the Russian legal framework.
It is important to “be on the technological agenda from mining to artificial intelligence.” To do this, a law needs to be passed, after which the state will create “flexible conditions and preferences” for miners, the politician specified.
