This morning, in my home country's time, I learned about a project called IO.NET. Intrigued, I visited the official website. While much of the information was new and somewhat beyond my current understanding, I believe that with my technical background, I can grasp the key concepts with some additional effort. Here is what I was able to understand from the documentation of IO.NET thus far.

io.net is the world's largest decentralized computing network, offering machine learning engineers access to scalable distributed clusters at a significantly lower cost than similar centralized services (IO.NET, n.d.).

IO Token Launch: Binance 55th Lauchpool Project

For Machine Learning Engineers

If you are a machine learning (ML) engineer and you are seeking a computational power for your mega project, you can head over to IO.NET, join their network, upload your project or task that needs a lot of computing power. Then, IO.NET splits your task into smaller parts and sends these parts to many different computers in the network. These computers work on your task simultaneously, providing the combined power of many machines. Once all the parts are processed, the results are sent back to you and combined into the final output. This way, you get your work done faster and cheaper than using a single, powerful computer.

For GPU/CPU Lenders

But wait, wait, that is not all. If you have machine with relatively with a good performance, especially one with NVIDIA GPU, you can make money by providing your GPU or CPU to IO.NET. Here is how it works:

  1. Just sign up to become a part of the IO.NET network.

  2. Then, allow IO.NET to use the computing power of your GPU or CPU when you are not using it. There are some software that you need to install on your machine. These include docker, NVIDIA driver, io.net launch (to be activated with a command line).

  3. IO.NET assigns tasks from machine learning engineers and other users to your GPU or CPU.

  4. Your hardware processes these tasks.

  5. You get paid for the computing power you provide, usually based on the amount of work your hardware completes.

For Everyone Else

If you are neither of the above, you still have one shot to get your hand on their token. This is how: IO token is to be launched on Binance starting from June 7, 2024. To participate, all you need to do is subscribe your $BNB (simple earn and/or locked) and/or $FDUSD.

So, go ahead and participate by subscribing $BNB and/or $FDUSD. Here is the link to the Binance official announcement.
