Sources say Apple notified Telegram that its bots are violating App Store policies by accepting payments directly from customers, bypassing Apple’s in-app purchases.

In response, starting June 12, Telegram will reportedly introduce a new internal currency "Telegram Stars" which users can purchase through Apple and Google, and then use it to pay for digital goods and services.
