#Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared his reflections on Ethereum's design at the ETHBerlin event. He mentioned that Ethereum should have switched to a proof-of-stake mechanism earlier, that the design of the Ethereum virtual machine relied too much on 256-bit processing, and that smart contracts should be easier to write with fewer lines of code to increase transparency. He also mentioned that Ethereum's hash function should use SHA-2 instead of Keccak. Despite these design mistakes, Buterin still praised the Ethereum team's execution capabilities. In addition, the United States approved the Ethereum spot exchange-traded fund, and the world's largest asset management company BlackRock also launched its own tokenized fund on the blockchain, and Ethereum's influence is expanding.
