Guilty verdict helps Donald Trump's campaign receive $34.8 million in donations in less than seven hours!

Trump's campaign received $34.8 million in contributions from donors in less than seven hours after a New York jury convicted Donald Trump in his hush money criminal trial, nearly doubling its single-day fundraising record, the campaign said Friday.

Nearly 30% of those donors were new users of Trump's WinRed donation website, senior campaign advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said.

The advisers reiterated Trump's post-trial vow that the "real decision" will come on Election Day, Nov. 5, when he faces President Joe Biden in a battle that recreates the 2020 election.

Trump's criminal sentencing is scheduled for July 11 in Manhattan Supreme Court, days before he is formally nominated as the Republican presidential nominee.

He is the first former U.S. president and the first major party nominee to be convicted.

Trump's campaign said the latest fundraising data only includes donations sent during Thursday's ruling.

This huge amount of money came less than two weeks after Trump announced that his monthly fundraising in 2024 exceeded that of Democratic candidate Biden for the first time.
