TechFlow reported that according to Nikkei News, DMM Bitcoin, a crypto asset (virtual currency) trading company under the DMM.com Group, had an improper outflow of Bitcoin, with the outflow amount being approximately 48 billion yen (approximately $305.9 million). The company reportedly announced that it would guarantee the leaked Bitcoins of its customers with the support of the group companies.
It is reported that this is the second largest hacker attack loss amount for Japanese cryptocurrency exchanges. In 2018, Coincheck was hacked and lost 58 billion yen.
