CHINA PAUSES EXPORTS OF AERONAUTICAL & SPACE COMPONENTS

Starting July 1, China will impose strict export controls on critical aviation and aerospace components, citing “national security concerns.”

Restricted items include aerospace structural components, engine manufacturing equipment, gas turbine engines, molds for spacesuit parts, and advanced polymers for bulletproof clothing.

Exporters must apply for a license because these items may have "dual-use" military applications.

The move follows China's 2020 Export Control Law amid escalating trade tensions with the US and EU.
