#区块链新闻快讯# Former Deutsche Bank executive Rashawn Russell was sentenced to 41 months in prison in Brooklyn, New York, for his involvement in a cryptocurrency fraud case and an unrelated access device fraud case. According to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Russell managed a cryptocurrency fund called R3 from November 2020 to August 2022, which promised to invest in cryptocurrency and pay high returns, but in reality, Russell used investors' money for personal gain or to repay other investors. He also lied that he had wired the money to investors and asked for repayment. In April 2023, prosecutors charged Russell with cryptocurrency-related crimes, and he pleaded guilty to all charges in September of the same year. This case once again reminds us that investors must be cautious when investing in blockchain projects to avoid falling into scam traps. What do you think?
